Die feierliche Eröffnung fand im historischen Stadtkern von Hohenems statt. Musikalisch begleitet von der Bürgermusik Lauterach zogen Organisation und Delegationen feierlich zur Eröffnung ein. Dr. Reinhard Flatz, Präsident des Union Paraclub Silvretta, führte gekonnt durch das Programm der Eröffnungsfeier. Unter der Leitung von Thomas Flatz spielte die Bürgermusik Lauterach live die FAI-Hymne. FAI-Controller Bert Ham bestätigte in einer kurzen Ansprache, dass alle Vorbereitungen erfolgreich abgeschlossen sind und die Veranstaltung nun offiziell eröffnet werden kann.

Chefschiedsrichter Dr. Stephan Kramer und Wettkämpferin Paige Smith aus Großbritannien sprachen die Eide für Organisation und Teilnehmer.

OFFICIALS’s & CompETITOR’s OATH

Stephan Kramer: “In the name of all Officials, I promise that we shall take part in the 6th FAI World Cup of Speed Skydiving and 5th FAI European Speed Skydiving Championships, respecting and abiding by the rules that govern them, in the true spirit of sportsmanship, for the glory of the sport”.

Paige Smith: “In the name of all competitors, I promise that we shall take part in the 6th FAI World Cup of Speed Skydiving and 5th FAI European Speed Skydiving Championships, respecting and abiding by the rules that govern them, in the true spirit of sportsmanship, for the glory of sport and the honour of our teams”.

Vizebürgermeister und Landtagsabgeordneter Markus Klien eröffnete in seiner Rede die Meisterschaften und lud die Delegationen zu einem Stehempfang mit feinen Häppchen und Getränken ein. Fotos von Urs Schloske..
